My son purchased the iphone when he came home on leave anad paid the full price. I believe all apple iphonebuyers who want a refund should be able to get the full refund if they purhcased the 8 gb phone. Apple products are over rated and i am very disappointed in their pricing policy. I don't consider it desperation I work to hard for my money.

This price reduction and then "iPhone refund" policy smacks of desparation. It's not uncommon in clothing retail, for example, to have dramatic discounts on products and if you aren't within the return policy window, you eat that difference. If you still have the tag on the item and it's still within the window, of course you can get a "refund" (basically you return the item at full price and then buy it again at a discount). It's not like the store makes a big deal about it though.

The fact that Apple customers are crying foul and want an iPhone refund is silly. Did they think they paid too much for the product? Was it not worth the price tag? Then they shouldn't have bought it. If they truly want a "refund" on the iPhone, they should be willing to give the product back to the store, no? (Isn't that what refund means?)

Or is the issue that they feel betrayed by Apple because Apple never resorts to massive fire sale discounts so early in the life cycle? Would make me lose a little bit of confidence in the iPhone product.

Apple might say they're "on target" to make that million unit goal, but it sure looks like they're desparate to me.

Valarie - have you contacted the Apple or AT&T store where you bought your iPhone? As far as I can tell, the $100 store credit is available to people who bought either iPhone model.

I purchased the 4 gb Iphone and did not receive a rebate. you have mentioned a $100.00 store or online credit will be given to the 8 gb customers. What about the ones that bought the 4 gb? We support and trusted in Apple not to reduce in price within 2 weeks. We also were advertisers and I have told everyone how wonderful it is. However, I feel as a consumer should get a refund.
