Making Your LiveJournal Even More Live

Now when you’re out and about and see something to blog about, you won’t have to go home or use your keypad to update your LiveJournal. Thanks to a deal between Six Apart and speech-to-text gurus SpinVox, you’ll be able to call in an update from the scene with your cell phone.

The Voice Post feature is available in the United States, Australia, Canada, Japan, and the U.K. to plus and paid account holders. Any public voice posts that are under 3 minutes will be automatically transcribed by SpinVox for free (that feature can be disabled). And at the moment, the only language that can be transcribed is English.

So now everyone is an on-the-scene reporter.
